Morgan Long is a globally respected art specialist and advisor with 25 years of experience in the Old Master, Post-War, and Contemporary markets. In 2023, she launched Morgan Long Fine Art to bring transparent, client-led guidance to collectors and institutions worldwide. Based in London, Morgan works across the Middle East, US, Asia, and Europe, offering institutional and private art advisory, valuation services for advisory and lending purposes, and strategic collection planning.
Previously, as Managing Director at The Fine Art Group, one of the world’s largest independent art advisory and finance firms, Morgan led multi-category art acquisitions and sales for fund portfolios and high-net-worth clients and oversaw valuations exceeding billions of dollars. Her commitment to a straightforward approach and her extensive global network inspired her to establish her own firm, returning to the core ethos that has always driven her career: delivering exceptional, bespoke consultancy in an opaque marketplace.
Morgan holds an MA in History of Art from The Courtauld Institute, London, specializing in 18th-century British and French art, and a BA from Bowdoin College, Maine, where she researched Joaquín Sorolla’s influence on the Boston School painters. She is a USPAP-qualified appraiser in the US and a Director of the Society of London Art Dealers in the UK. Her insights on the art market are regularly featured in The Financial Times, The New York Times, The Art Newspaper, Artnet, Apollo Magazine, and Bloomberg.
She and her husband Charlie Shearn are also avid collectors.
